1993 Niellon Chassagne “Chenevottes”
’93 Niellon Chassagne “Chenevottes” is my response to the numbnut who told me that ’93 white Burgs were a disaster. Then that dipstick reneged on selling me his ’93 whites. Anyway, the Chenevottes is starting to show ready, but not showing any signs of being firmly on the plateau. Yet. But it gave me one hell of a scare- when we pulled the cork, we were greeted with a monstrous smell of TCA from it and the bottleneck. Yet the wine, when poured, was absolutely fine. So much for the validity of the cork-sniffing ceremony.
