As our token non-Rhone, we slurped a ’97 Ollivier Muscadet “Cuvee Buster” with the cute little puppy on the label. A little bretty, a little aldehydic, a lot intense and long. A perfect example of how a lean wine can be powerful, focused, delicious, and food friendly. Not your father’s Muscadet. Curly.
